CROWD ROASTER × "Rinpa × Anime" Exhibition Special Coffee

A drink with flavors of strawberry jam, citrus, lychee and sweetness.
When paired with a hot sandwich, it gives off a fruity, raspberry-like flavor.

Crispy hot sandwich with melted cheese and ham

This masterpiece uses Hokkaido cheese and combines its rich sweetness with the texture of ham and a hint of black pepper.

Fluffy strawberry, red bean and cheese pudding

It has a crunchy texture and creamy flavor, and the red beans add a delicious boost.

Excellent moist chocolate cake

Chocolate that melts in your mouth the moment you put it in. Rich cream. A clean aftertaste.

At the venue, we spoke with Narita Manabu, owner of "Coffee & Chocolate Marley."

──What did you keep in mind when setting up this collaboration cafe?
Narita: "The coffee was made up of three elements: CROWD ROASTER , Murray, and Maruyama Dan, so I had to explain them to customers in an easy-to-understand way. I just wanted to let them drink delicious coffee without having them think too hard about it."

--What did you think of roasting CROWD ROASTER beans this time?
Narita: "Roasting was a lot of fun. We were conscious of doing things we don't usually do. I think that's the meaning of the collaboration. This coffee has flavors like lychee and red plum, so we roasted it slowly over time after the first crack to bring out the sweetness. It's fun to see how deep you can roast these beans without losing their individuality."

--Please tell us your enthusiasm for the final day!
Narita: "I hope that customers can enjoy delicious coffee again tomorrow. That's what I'm looking forward to most."

Narita-san spoke with a smile. He will continue to serve challenging cups of coffee until the very last one.

We also spoke with Takahashi Naho of Maruyamadan, a popular restaurant in Maruyama, Sapporo.

──What did you pay attention to when creating this menu?
Takahashi: " CROWD ROASTER 's coffee is perfect for pairing with food. I thought the coffee would work on its own, so I chose a menu that I was confident in without worrying too much about it. If I had to say, I wanted to create something that had an accent so that it wouldn't end up being vague."

--What kind of response has there been to the event?
Takahashi: "Unlike Tokyo, events that combine art and food are still not very well established here. But when I see the reactions of our customers, I get the sense that we're making progress. I hope that through events like this, we can help spread cafe culture even further."

──How are you feeling heading into the final day?
Takahashi: "I love arts, culture and food, so it's wonderful that a place where these two can come together and be enjoyed by everyone is created. Tomorrow is the last day. I'll do my best to 'trap' visitors (laughs). I hope that through coffee and art, Sapporo's culture will become even richer."

Finish your event with a delicious dish.

A special café where you can enjoy the collaboration of art and food. The last day is tomorrow, May 6th (Mon). Please come and visit us.
